Honorary Mayor

At Tuesday nights meeting we had a very special guest. Austin Cochran presided over the meeting as the Town of Lyerly's Honorary Mayor. Austin received the Citizenship Award in the 3rd grade class at Lyerly Elementary School. The award exemplifies the student who is always aware of the rules of the school and his class. Austin understands why rules are necessary and always displays excellent characteristics of behavior and self-discipline. Austin serves as a role model for all those around him and is looked up to by all his classmates. Because of Austin's achievement the Town of Lyerly rewarded him with the opprtunity to preside over the Council meeting and presented him a certificate for serving as Honorary Mayor. Austin is the son of Mike and Wendy Cordle, Lyerly.
